Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging youth programs, activities, and events that promote spiritual development and community involvement.
- Provide mentorship and Christian counseling to youth, addressing their spiritual, emotional, and social needs with compassion and understanding.
- Lead weekly youth group meetings, prayer sessions, and faith-based discussions that encourage active participation.
- Organize outreach initiatives, retreats, service projects, and special events that foster leadership skills and community engagement.
- Offer crisis intervention support when needed, ensuring a safe space for youth to express concerns or challenges.
- Deliver inspiring public speaking engagements and presentations on faith topics to motivate and educate young audiences.
- Collaborate with parents, church staff, and community partners to support the holistic development of youth members.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and program outcomes to evaluate effectiveness.
Experience
- Proven experience in youth ministry or related roles within a faith-based organization or community setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor young people effectively.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to connect with diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability in event planning, public speaking, and delivering engaging presentations.
- Knowledge of crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies tailored for youth populations.
- Experience providing bereavement support or hospice care is a plus but not required; sensitivity to grief is essential.
- Familiarity with Christian counseling principles and conflict management practices to foster a supportive environment.
