Bartender - Server
The purpose of this position is to provide efficient and professional service to
guests to ensure that they receive a quality experience.
Qualifications
Education: High School or G.E.D. required.
Work Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age. Bartending skills strongly desired. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to interact with guests effectively and in a courteous, professional manner.

Position Duties
- Meet or exceed regulatory and professional standards for the alcohol and food
- Meet or exceed regulatory and professional standards for the cleanliness and sanitation of bar areas and equipment.
- Promptly acknowledge guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Respond to guests’ questions and complaints promptly and in a manner that reflects the Mission, Vision and Spirit of the restaurant.
Bartender Functions
- Serve prepared alcoholic beverages to guests in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure that guests have adequate beverage throughout dinner.
Server Functions
- Maintains a Guest focus while performing duties
- Assumes 100% responsibility for quality guests’ experience
- Welcome and greet guests within one minute. Make all our guests feel special and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
- Make specific beverage, appetizer, entrée, and dessert recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy
- Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
- Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point-of-sale system before taking item to the table.
- Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter
- Pre-bus tables between each course.
- Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment
- Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas.
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service.
- Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Provide proactive beverage and bread refills
- Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process through the POS system
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers before they ask.
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Notify manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience
Physical Requirements of the Position
- Standing for long periods of time (6-10 hrs.) or for duration of shift serving meals and cleaning dining room.
- Walking and climbing (stairs & ladders) to access other areas of the Food Service
- Carrying, lifting supplies, boxes, trays up to 50 lbs. waist and shoulder high.
- Bending, kneeling, reaching to store & retrieve supplies and equipment and to serve meals.
- Sight, reading, wrist movements, feeling to serve meals and beverages, operate food service equipment and clean food service areas.
- Talking and hearing to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, guests.
Note: This position involves working in a climate controlled kitchen environment that is subject to changing temperatures. This position will involve working days, evening and weekend hours. This position is subject to the hazards related to the food service industry. This position deals extensively with the general public and employees throughout the organization who interact with assigned area of responsibility.
