Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and safety guidelines
- Support kitchen staff in cooking and plating dishes to ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices
- Follow food safety protocols rigorously to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Help with menu planning and ingredient inventory management to support efficient kitchen operations
- Support catering events by preparing and serving food in accordance with client specifications
- Handle food with care, using proper knife skills and cooking techniques to produce high-quality meals
Skills
- Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or culinary settings
- Knowledge of menu planning and meal assembly in fine dining environments
- Experience in food service, catering, or kitchen operations with an emphasis on safety and cleanliness
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations governing the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
