What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at The Granola Bar?
The Granola Bar is growing and we've opened our second Long Island location As a Line Cook at The Granola Bar, you will be responsible for preparing food to the exact specifications and setting up stations for menu items. You will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and standards.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Monitor food stock and place orders as needed.
- Assist in inventory management and control.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow all safety, hygiene, and kitchen protocol.
Requirements:
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Familiar with industry best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
