The Granite YMCA is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Head Lifeguard/Swim Instructor at our Allard Center of Goffstown location.

About the Role

This position plays a vital role in leading our aquatics staff, ensuring member safety, and providing exceptional swim instruction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lifeguarding and teaching, with a passion for making a positive impact in the community.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Aquatics staff in the absence of the Aquatics Director or Coordinator.
• Provide administrative support on a weekly basis.
• Understand and respond to emergency situations in the pool area.
• Maintain effective relationships with members, participants, and team members.
• Apply safety rules, policies, and guidelines consistently in the pool area.
• Maintain accurate pool records and perform equipment checks.

Position Specifics

• Schedule may vary depending on candidate availability and department needs.
• The incumbent will be scheduled for four weekdays and one weekend day.
• Free Lifeguard recertification provided by the YMCA if needed.
• Must be 18 years or older.
