Duties

• Prepare a variety of fresh salads, vegetables, fruits, and toppings according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salad bar area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized regularly
• Stock ingredients efficiently, monitor inventory levels, and notify management when supplies need replenishing
• Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure proper food handling procedures are adhered to at all times
• Assist with meal preparation and support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and food prep tools, demonstrating excellent knife skills
• Support catering events or special functions by preparing salads and accompaniments as needed

Experience

• Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
• Kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting provides a strong foundation for success in this role
• Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods enhances your ability to deliver quality salads consistently
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices is essential
• Experience with catering or serving in a food service environment is a plus
