Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines such as industrial washers and dryers to clean textiles thoroughly and efficiently.
- Handle materials with care using proper manual handling techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety.
- Sort, load, and unload laundry items using push carts or other equipment, ensuring proper garment care.
- Follow sanitation protocols diligently to maintain a hygienic environment in line with safety standards in production.
- Use laundry detergents and cleaning agents appropriately while adhering to safety procedures for chemical handling.
- Perform routine inspection of textiles for stains, damages, or contamination; perform dry cleaning or special treatments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry services performed, including materials used and items processed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently handle materials with manual dexterity.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and calculating loads or quantities.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to textile cleaning, sanitation, and chemical handling.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward residents or clients when applicable.
- Familiarity with garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment is a plus.
