The Grand at Pawling is seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Housekeeping to lead our Environmental Services team and help us maintain a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our residents, families, and staff.
Salary: $60,000–$65,000 annually

The Director of Housekeeping will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department and ensure that our facility consistently meets high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and presentation.
Responsibilities include:
Lead, supervise, schedule, and support housekeeping staff
Conduct daily rounds throughout resident rooms and common areas
Ensure resident rooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and public spaces are maintained to high standards
Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and education as needed
Manage housekeeping supplies, equipment, and inventory
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and sanitation standards
Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and departmental procedures
Respond promptly to resident, family, and department concerns
Work collaboratively with Nursing, Maintenance, Administration, and other departments
Participate in facility inspections, quality improvement initiatives, and survey preparation
Maintain a department that is organized, accountable, and survey-ready
Previous housekeeping or environmental services leadership experience
Healthcare, skilled nursing, hospital, or long-term care experience strongly preferred
Strong leadership and staff-management skills
Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Knowledge of infection control and sanitation practices
Ability to identify problems and take initiative to resolve them
A hands-on leadership style and willingness to be visible throughout the facility
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a beautiful environment
