The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Guilderland is currently seeking TWO Full-Time Unit Clerk.
Mon-FRI 8am-4pm
Pay Ranges: $18.00- $20.00
*NOW OFFERING SAME DAY PAY*
Requirements
Must have a High School degree of equivalent
Must display a solid work ethic.
Duties Include:
Keep patient records accurately identified.
Communicate with members of the health care team, patients, and visitors using verbal and written means and equipment such as the telephone and intercom.
Transcribe nurse’s orders per policy.
Assist nursing staff in making unoccupied beds and to fill the clean utility rooms with fresh linens (bed pads, washcloths, towels, etc.)
Assist recreation aides in transporting to and from activities, rehab and appointments as needed
Prepare and maintain the unit’s medical information system including patient profiles.
Check charts daily for incomplete histories and operative summaries and brings these to the attention of the appropriate member of the health care team for correction.
Report any unusual resident behavior to the aide and nursing staff.
Prepare special forms and may obtain closed records from Medical Records.
Complete requests for nonmedical services such as beauty shop appointments
Send profile and change-of-bed status on patient admission, discharge, and transfer.
Stock and manage supplies such as linens, IV supplies
Assists with receiving, distributing, and sorting supplies brought to the unit. Check to ensure accurate charging of exchange-cart items.
Perform clerical duties such as making copies and faxing documents.
Greet visitors /consultants etc. to the unit, assist as needed.
Answer incoming calls and route callers to the correct extension.
Track appointments (ordered vs completed).
Upload forms, consultations, resident records etc. to the electronic medical record.
