Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Bilingual and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Duties
- Operational Oversight
- Lead and direct daily housekeeping operations with 90% of time spent on the floor overseeing housekeeping staff.
Quality Control & Inspections
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms, hallways, and public areas to ensure adherence to hotel standards.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues for immediate resolution.
Staff Supervision & Training
- Schedule, train, and coach housekeeping staff to maintain performance and efficiency.
- Provide ongoing feedback and address performance concerns when needed.
Inventory & Supply Management
- Track and manage inventories of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities.
- Submit accurate supply orders to the General Manager as needed.
Guest Services & Maintenance Coordination
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and complaints.
- Coordinate with the maintenance department for room repairs and equipment upkeep.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Oversee proper use of cleaning chemicals, machines (e.g., carpet and tile cleaners), and safety equipment.
Administrative Tasks
- Conduct daily team briefings and update room status systems.
- Maintain clear communication with management and housekeeping staff.
- Assign cleaning tasks and monitor room attendants and public area cleaners.
- Ensure all guest rooms and public spaces meet cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Skills
Candidate must be Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services with a focus on supervision or management
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, and industrial cleaning methods
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and guest service expectations
- Ability to perform custodial tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Good organizational skills for managing supplies, schedules, and inspections
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with staff and interact professionally with guests
