Position Summary:
The Dining Room Server/Dishwasher plays a key role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents. This position includes serving meals in our beautiful dining room, providing friendly customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities: Dining Room Service
- Greet residents warmly and provide attentive, courteous service during all meal periods
- Serve meals promptly, accurately, and professionally
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining room
- Reset tables, fill beverage stations, and ensure condiments and supplies are stocked
- Assist residents who may need extra help carrying trays or navigating the dining room
- Uphold excellent hospitality standards at all times
Dishwashing & Kitchen Support
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment following sanitation guidelines
- Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean, safe, and organized
- Assist with basic food prep as requested by the Culinary Director
- Take out garbage and recycling as needed
- Maintain cleanliness standards per health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Previous serving or dishwashing experience preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Must complete monthly Relias trainings (mandatory)
- Background check required
- Must comply with all Illinois state regulations for Independent & Assisted Living communities
- Uniform required (including name tag); no earbuds while working
- Weekend and holiday availability preferred
