Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a structured, safe, and welcoming environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational exercises to stimulate their creativity and curiosity.
- Help supervise children during daily routines such as mealtime, nap time, outdoor play, and transitions between activities.
- Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate support and care.
- Support classroom organization by preparing materials, cleaning up after activities, and maintaining a tidy learning space.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary to ensure children's well-being.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress and any concerns that arise during the day.
- Collaborate with team members to develop inclusive curricula that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Assist with documentation of children's developmental milestones and behavior management strategies.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification or training in first aid is required; additional certifications related to special education or behavior management are advantageous.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team dedicated to child welfare.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues professionally.
