What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Early Childhood Teacher position at The Good Shepherd Preschool?
Our nationally accredited (NAEYC) preschool is in search of a Lead Early Childhood Teacher. Our faculty members are looking for a capable, competent, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator and team member. We have a full Bible, fine arts, science, social studies, and community service program in addition to academics and social skills. We believe in learning about all of God's world through wonder, play, general silliness, and investigation. Teachers write their own curriculum based on student input. Musical background a plus! Previous work in Montana licensed childcare preferred. Applicant must qualify as a lead teacher with the State of Montana. Valid child and infant CPR required before you hire. You must have previous classroom experience and be able to jump right in. We provide on the job training unique to our program. This position will lead their own class of 3-4 year olds and the afternoon enrichment program. This position shares cleaning duties with the rest of the faculty. This includes keeping the environment clean, safe and engaging for young children. We need someone who plans to stay long term. This is a part time position with potential for up to 37 hours per week. Pay is $18 - $20 per hour after a probationary period based on performance and experience.
