Duties

• Provide high-quality pediatric nursing care, including assessments, vital sign monitoring, and physical examinations tailored for children of all ages.
• Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
• Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and diagnostic imaging preparations.
• Support acute pain management, IV infusion therapy, catheterization procedures, and ventilator management when necessary.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, medication administration, nutrition, and post-discharge care plans.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive pediatric care plans.

Requirements

• Valid RN license with current pediatric nursing certification preferred.
• Proven experience working with children in diverse settings such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or home care environments.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform IV insertion, venipuncture, suturing, and sterile processing procedures confidently.
• Familiarity with pediatric-specific conditions such as developmental disabilities, neonatal ventilator management, or trauma medicine is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children and their families compassionately while providing education and support.
