Job Summary:
The Gonzalez Law Group is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal with experience in Personal Injury to join our firm. Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Meeting deadlines while maintaining organization in a fast-paced environment is an absolute necessity. Candidate should be computer literate with modern software applications. Professionalism and a strong work ethic are paramount. You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Meet with potential clients and offer case assessment.
- Investigate facts and secure case evidence.
- Keep clients informed of case status effectively and professionally.
- Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, schedule meetings, client interviews, depositions, hearings, etc.)
- Ensure proper indexing and filing of legal documents.
- Journal deadlines for responses and monitor for timeliness.
- Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices, etc.
- Working knowledge and experience of e-filing in both state and federal court systems.
- Assist in all preparation of the case for trial by organizing, drafting, and preparing pre-trial documentation, contacting witnesses and preparing subpoenas as necessary; prepare attorney trial notebooks, as well as witness/exhibit binders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of litigation experience required;
- Must be able to speak, read, and write Spanish fluently.
