Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated culinary professional to lead and support our kitchen operations, with a primary focus on our Bar & Grill food service. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is passionate about delivering high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations for the Bar & Grill, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency
- Work actively on the line, leading by example during service and maintaining high culinary standards
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive and accountable team culture
- Manage inventory levels, including tracking usage, minimizing waste, and maintaining accurate records
- Order food, supplies, and kitchen products in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Create and execute menu specials that align with seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage and operational efficiency
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, cost control, and operational improvements
- Provide support to banquet kitchen operations as needed, ensuring seamless execution of events
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a high-volume kitchen, including line cooking experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a culinary setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and inventory management
- Ability to train and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Experience with banquet or event service is a plus
