Remote Advertising Sales Representative (Commission-Based) – Golf Industry
The Golf Almanac is looking for motivated work-from-home sales representatives to sell advertising opportunities to local businesses across the country.
We are a long-standing golf publication that has served the country club and golf community for over 20 years. Our regional editions are distributed free through pro shops at country clubs, giving local businesses a unique way to reach golfers, club members, and affluent homeowners in their area.
Compensation: Commission-Based (30% Commission on Closed Sales)
This is a commission-based sales position. Sales representatives earn 30% commission on closed sales, with the potential for monthly performance bonuses.
Our experienced representatives commonly earn six-figure incomes. New representatives' earnings vary based on effort, activity level, and sales performance. All of our seasoned reps (with the company for three years or longer) earn six figures annually, some well into six figures.
This is a sales-focused position centered on outbound prospecting and closing advertising sales. It is not a social media management, graphic design, branding, or marketing services role
We will work with you to assist you in becoming the most efficient and lucrative sales rep you have the potential of being in our specified industry. Every sales job is different and over the past 20 years we have fine tuned our approach to great success. We are a tight knit group here, with most of us being employed at TGA well over a decade, and we aim to include our remote workers in that camaraderie.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Remote Advertising Sales Representative, you will contact local businesses by phone and email to present advertising opportunities in The Golf Almanac.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Calling local business owners and decision makers
• Explaining how The Golf Almanac helps businesses reach country club and golf communities
• Following up with interested prospects
• Closing advertising sales
• Keeping track of your leads, calls, and sales activity
• Representing The Golf Almanac professionally
• Using our lead management system to track prospects, follow-ups, and sales activity
Expected activity includes consistent outbound prospecting, regular follow-up with interested prospects, and maintaining an organized sales pipeline.
Who We're Looking For
This position is best suited for someone who:
• Has sales experience or a strong desire to work in sales
• Is comfortable making outbound calls
• Can speak professionally with business owners
• Is self-motivated and able to work from home
• Has strong follow-up skills
• Understands that success in sales comes from consistent effort
Advertising sales, print advertising, phone sales, B2B sales, or local business sales experience is a plus, but we are open to training the right person.
