External Investing Group (XIG)
XIG provides clients with investment and advisory solutions, across leading hedge fund managers, private credit funds, private equity funds, real estate managers, public equity strategies, fixed income strategies and ESG (impact) strategies across all asset classes. XIG manages globally diversified programs, targeted sector-specific strategies, customized portfolios and a range of advisory services. Our investors access opportunities through new fund commitments, fund-of-fund investments, strategic partnerships, co-investments, secondary-market investments and seed-capital investments. Position Description
We are seeking a hire to join our dynamic and experienced Venture Secondary Team. This individual will play a key role in sourcing, analyzing, and executing investments across LP secondaries, GP led secondaries and venture direct secondaries, while managing deal processes end-to-end.
Responsibilities
- Lead investment processes, including due diligence on venture funds and portfolio companies.
- Source and evaluate new opportunities through proactive outreach and relationship-building.
- Mentor, manage, and train junior team members.
- Analyze market trends and develop investment theses around emerging tech sectors and high-growth companies.
- Represent the firm at annual meetings, investor conferences, and events.
- Monitor and manage existing portfolio holdings.
- Assist with investor relations, including fundraising support, annual meetings, and quarterly reporting.
Requirements

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this San Francisco, California, United States-based position is $125000-$290000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
