Overview
We're a new Cafe and Bakery in The Library Center. Where WE will be baking and cooking from scratch, daily. This will be a customer facing job, so the ability to multi-task is necessary. Starting out at $16/hr Tips ( avg~$24/hr). Seeking both a part time and a full time position. Please, don't be scared to apply if you do not have experience. Responsibilities
- Prep and bake a wide range of goods; including pastries, scones, and cookies, sandwiches, etc. with both a consistent menu, and weekly specials
- Craft drinks and food with precision, creativity, and attention to detail to create visually appealing bites.
- Handle drink and food production tasks such as mixing, portioning, and assembling food items in accordance with recipes and safety standards.
- Package baked goods efficiently for retail display or catering orders while maintaining presentation quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and handling protocols.
- Assist in food preparation for catering events or restaurant service, supporting overall kitchen operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about products, and offering recommendations.
Experience
- Previous experience in baking or pastry arts is preferred, but not necessary; familiarity with decorating and food presentation is a plus.
- Cafe experience, including latte art and knowing your different drinks is desired, as that is the main driving force of business.
- Background in food production or restaurant environments demonstrating ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of bakery equipment, baking processes, and food industry standards is desirable.
- Experience in catering or large-scale food preparation can be beneficial.
