Job Description: The Gold Buyer will be responsible for performing buys, loans, and sales transactions in accordance with the company's policies and requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of gold valuation, market trends, and client relations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent negotiation skills and a passion for the precious metals and jewelry markets. We are looking for someone who will work full-time and must be available to work weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and purchase gold, silver, and platinum items, including jewelry, coins, bullion, and luxury watches, ensuring fair pricing and quality standards.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about gold prices and trends, and follow the company's purchasing strategies.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and vendors. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and guiding clients through the selling process.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about services and company policies, ensuring accurate and helpful information.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and transactions.
• Collaborate with team members to develop promotional strategies for buying. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards in precious metal purchasing. 

Qualifications:

• Experience with precious metals, experience in the luxury retail jewelry industry is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a corporate office setting, sitting for long periods at a computer.
• Ability to be proactive and willing to learn and cross-train in different departments.

Compensation:

• $25-35/hr
• Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. PTO, and paid vacation days are provided.
