About the Role

The School Director plays a key leadership role in maintaining high-quality educational standards, ensuring compliance, and supporting smooth school operations. This position is responsible for ongoing quality audits, staff and family engagement, and assisting in administrative coordination to strengthen overall program excellence.

The Director works collaboratively with the On-Site Operator and administrative team to ensure consistency across all classrooms, compliance with licensing and Goddard standards, and effective communication with families.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct bi-weekly internal QA reviews to ensure all classrooms meet Goddard and DCYF standards.
  • Perform daily/monthly playground and safety checks, addressing maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Audit children’s files after AD- Family/Enrollment completes documentation to verify completeness and compliance.
  • Conduct quarterly faculty file audits (random) to ensure records are current, including training, certifications, and health forms.
  • Review, update, and follow up on Severe Allergy Plans and medication documentation with families to ensure compliance and child safety.
  • Oversight management and review of Early Achievers videos and teacher submissions, providing feedback to AD- Curriculum and ensuring proper documentation and uploads.

2. Program Oversight & Curriculum Support

  • Follow up with families regarding curriculum, classroom, and program-related feedback, while referring financial inquiries to the On-Site Operator.

3. Administrative & Operational Support

  • Assist the Assistant Director- Excellence with daily teacher scheduling and ratio management until full ownership is established.
  • Take accountability for enrollment growth efforts, including tour support, follow-up communication, and conversion tracking.
  • Manage Medallia reviews by following up with families, reviewing feedback weekly, identifying trends, and providing summaries or action items to leadership.
  • Lead and support community outreach initiatives such as local events, partnerships, and promotional activities (minimum 2/month) to increase brand visibility and strengthen family engagement.
  • Participate in admin and enrollment meetings to review goals, share feedback, and propose operational improvements.

4. Communication & Collaboration

  • Maintain open, respectful, and professional communication with all staff, families, and leadership.
  • Ensure consistent communication channels between teachers and administration.
  • Collaborate with the On-Site Operator on school improvement and staff development initiatives.
  • Model teamwork and professionalism in all interactions and decision-making.

Performance Expectations

  • Demonstrate professionalism and respect in all interactions.
  • Complete assigned QA reviews, audits, and reports on schedule.
  • Provide weekly updates on Medallia reviews (5/week), family engagement, and enrollment efforts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented leadership culture.
  • Flexibility with schedule when required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in education administration or school management at a senior leadership level.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in education/ECE
  • Strong background in curriculum development, classroom teaching, and working directly with students.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, strategic planning, and financial management.
  • Excellent management skills with experience supervising teams of educators and administrative staff.
  • Exceptional public speaking abilities to effectively communicate the school’s vision and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of education policies, accreditation processes, and compliance requirements.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
