Part Time Floating Teacher

About the Role:

The Goddard School of Aberdeen, MD is looking for a passionate and adaptable Part Time Floating Teacher to join our team! In this dynamic role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple classrooms, supporting the growth and development of young learners every day.

Responsibilities:

• Float between classrooms to provide coverage and support for lead and assistant teachers
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities in accordance with Goddard School curriculum
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for all children
• Supervise and interact with children during indoor and outdoor activities
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators regarding child progress and daily activities
• Follow all licensing regulations, health, and safety protocols
• Assist with classroom management and daily routines as needed across all age groups
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Experience working with young children in an early childhood education setting preferred
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies
• Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and age groups
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must meet Maryland state childcare licensing requirements for education and background checks
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable, dependable, and a team-oriented attitude
