Key Responsibilities
Classroom Support & Childcare
- Provide coverage and assistance in various classrooms throughout the school.
- Support teachers with daily routines, lesson activities, transitions, and classroom management.
- Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios and ensure active supervision of children at all times.
- Assist with diapering, feeding, toileting, nap time, and other age-appropriate caregiving responsibilities.
- Step into classrooms as needed to cover staff breaks, absences, and staffing adjustments.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and safe classroom environments.
- Follow all school policies, health and safety procedures, and licensing requirements.
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with children and support their social-emotional development.
- Assist the Director and Assistant Director with the daily operations of the school.
- Help coordinate classroom coverage, staff breaks, and staffing adjustments to maintain appropriate ratios.
- Support the implementation of school policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring the school is secure and prepared for the following day.
- Greet families, answer questions, and provide professional and welcoming customer service.
- Assist with front-office tasks, including answering phones, responding to inquiries, and directing families to the appropriate administrator.
- Support enrollment inquiries, tours, registration, and general family communication as needed.
- Assist with maintaining accurate records, classroom documentation, and administrative paperwork.
- Help monitor the overall cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the school.
- Communicate staffing, classroom, and operational concerns promptly to the Director or Assistant Director.
- Support special events, school activities, and other administrative projects as assigned.
- Assist with school bus drop-off and pick-up procedures as needed.
- Follow all transportation safety protocols and ensure children are supervised during transitions.
- Support arrival and dismissal procedures.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, organizing supplies, and completing other school-related tasks.
- Be willing to step in wherever support is needed to ensure the school operates smoothly.

- Closing the school, completing end-of-day duties, and ensuring the building is properly secured.
- Ensuring classrooms, common areas, and administrative spaces are ready for the following day.
- Maintaining flexibility to accommodate staffing needs and operational changes.
- Previous experience working in a preschool, childcare, education, or administrative environment preferred.
- Ability to work confidently with children of varying ages.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to take initiative.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, positive, and welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, children, and families.
- Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions within established school policies.
- Must be flexible and available for rotating opening and closing shifts.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification, as required.
- Must meet applicable childcare licensing and employment requirements.
