Afterschool Program Teacher - Elementary Grades

The Goddard School® located in Hillsborough, NJ is seeking an assistant teacher to support children in our aftercare program. We're looking for someone to help with snacks, homework, and guide activities for children ages K-4.

Assistant Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Works productively without supervision
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience, and credential requirements
