Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care and education to preschool-aged children while collaborating with families to support each child's growth.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, including social skills, language, and motor skills.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development, activities, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to early childhood education.
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers as needed, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- First aid certification is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
