Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, language development, and social interaction
- Maintain accurate records of each child's daily routines, developmental progress, and health updates
- Foster positive behavior management strategies that encourage independence and emotional regulation
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to share insights on each child's progress and address any concerns
- Ensure the classroom environment is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies to support learning and safety
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and infection control measures
Experience
- Prior experience working with infants in a daycare, preschool, or nannying setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers
- Experience with classroom management techniques tailored for early childhood environments
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to engage children through nurturing caregiving, playful learning activities, and positive behavior management strategies
- Familiarity with early childhood education best practices and curriculum planning for infant care
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families and team members
