The Goddard Schools of Lithia, Riverview and Wimauma foster independent and creative thinking through both guided exploration and opportunities to learn through play. Our schools center their curriculum on the whole child through cognitive, social/emotional, and physical development. Our program uses a balanced approach with developmentally appropriate practices that encourage child-guided, active exploration of thought-provoking questions about their world.
The Goddard School of Wimauma is opening soon and is looking to hire an Educational Director. The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. Strong verbal and written communication skills and prior supervisory experience in a preschool setting is preferred.

Responsibilities:
Be responsible of all aspects of running our school. Duties include covering classes to maintain ratios, training and onboarding teachers, enrolling families, maintaining licensing and quality standards. The focus will be on curriculum implementation and development.
Major responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
- Implement an early age curriculum
- Review lesson plans and suggesting alternatives as needed.
- Assess the developmental needs of children as well as works to incorporate individual students learning, physical emotional needs.
- Maintain accurate as well as timely educational assessments progress portfolios for all students assigned.
- Communicate frequently as well as respectfully with children directly, in child-friendly tones on their level.
- Maintain a safe, clean as well as healthy environment that adheres to licensing and Goddard standards.
Maintain ratios at all times, keeps attendance records of children throughout the day.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education or a related field
· 3 plus years of management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool required
· Florida Director Credentials with VPK Endorsement
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· An inspirational leader and team builder
· Proactive about building relationships with new families and maintaining high enrollment to make sure the students have access to the best curriculum available
· Organized and able to multitask, strategically resolves challenges, and has a great attitude
The applicant should be strong in curriculum and be able to train teachers in proper methodologies in teaching young children. We are looking for individuals that have training in effectively using STEAM activities in the classroom.
