Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and answer questions about food and beverages with enthusiasm.
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work station.
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Manage tables by bussing, resetting, and ensuring cleanliness to uphold sanitation standards.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation, quality control, and food safety compliance.
• Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage bookings smoothly.
• Maintain excellent guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and fostering a welcoming environment.
• Support food safety practices through proper food handling, sanitation, and adherence to health regulations.

Experience

• Previous restaurant serving experience is required especially in fine dining or bar environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence.
• Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly.
• Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities are essential.
