Duties
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and guide them to their tables efficiently
- Manage waitlists using POS (Point of Sale) systems or reservation software
- Coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure timely seating and optimal flow of guests
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation procedures in the host station and waiting areas
- Provide friendly assistance to guests, answer questions about the menu or restaurant policies, and address special requests
- Support food safety management practices by adhering to health regulations and sanitation standards
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment by ensuring all guest areas are tidy, organized, and inviting
- Handle take out and third party delivery orders
- Use POS to sell retail and gift cards.
- Bus tables in a timely manner for extra tips.
Experience
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are key!
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally
- Familiarity with POS systems or reservation management software is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation procedures ensures compliance with health standards
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and proactive during busy service hours
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
