Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sous Chef role based in Naples, FL. The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and ensuring consistent quality and portion control. Responsibilities include supervising line and prep cooks, organizing station setup, monitoring food safety and sanitation, and assisting with inventory, ordering, and receiving products. The Sous Chef helps develop menus and specials that reflect resident preferences and dietary needs, including modified diets when required. The role also involves training and mentoring kitchen team members, coordinating service during peak meal periods, and collaborating with dining and hospitality staff to deliver an excellent resident and guest dining experience.

Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation, with experience in high-volume or hospitality-focused kitchens.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and regulatory requirements (ServSafe or similar certification preferred).
- Experience supervising kitchen staff, delegating tasks, and supporting a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Ability to assist with menu planning, recipe standardization, and cost control, including basic inventory and ordering practices.
- Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and efficient during busy service times.
- Strong communication skills and a resident- and guest-focused mindset, with professionalism and respect for a diverse community.
- Prior experience in senior living, healthcare dining, hotels, or upscale restaurants is highly beneficial.
- Culinary degree, formal culinary training, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
