Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Present menus confidently, highlight specials, and answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and wine pairings.
- Aid in the service of food and drinks with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently during high-volume periods, maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor service staff and assure completion of opening and closing side work.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to, monitor order accuracy, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, reset tables promptly, and uphold sanitation standards aligned with food safety regulations.
- Assist in training new staff members on service protocols, POS operation, and customer service excellence.
- Support management in inventory control by monitoring stock levels of tableware, linens, wine & spirits.
Skills
- Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments with a strong customer service focus.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology to effectively communicate menu details.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly.
- Strong multitasking abilities to manage multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting.
- Leadership qualities demonstrated through staff training, supervising experience, or team management roles.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices.
- Experience in hospitality management or restaurant management roles including shift management or budgeting is advantageous.
