The Glen Scripps Ranch is looking for a Full Time Safety/ EMT officer Day shift 7a-3pm with Tuesday and Wednesday off.
General Summary
The EMT Safety Officer performs daily door monitoring checks and conducts scheduled internal and external rounds. They are responsible for responding immediately to all emergency situations at the Community and are required to demonstrate the acts and principles of exemplary customer service to all internal and external customers at all times.

The EMT Safety Officer performs daily door monitoring checks and conducts scheduled internal and external rounds. They are responsible for responding immediately to all emergency situations at the Community and are required to demonstrate the acts and principles of exemplary customer service to all internal and external customers at all times.
Principle Duties
- Responds immediately to all emergency situations at the Community. Practices proper First Responder protocols and life safety policies and procedures.
- Assists the Safety Director with random mock testing and training of staff to ensure emergency preparedness.
- Assists the Safety Director or designated management representative with daily door monitoring checks.
- Conducts scheduled internal and external rounds.
- Maintains departmental emergency equipment and supplies to ensure proper functioning.
- Ensures compliance with policies & procedures and reports all discrepancies and unsafe conditions to the Safety Director.
- Demonstrates the acts and principles of exemplary customer service to all internal and external customers at all times. Responds to and documents customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned by Department Director.
- Current EMT certificate
- Current CPR/AED certificate
- Previous employment within the security and/or medical response environment
- Eighteen years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- This position is essential to the safety of our residents and staff; and to the operation and function of the community. Employee may be recalled to report to work for an emergency, unusual occurrence, resident care need, visit from regulatory/governing agencies or any other event deemed necessary by the Executive Director, Administrator, and designee.
