We are seeking a skilled Glazier/ Glass Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in glass installation and fabrication, with the ability to work efficiently on construction sites. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining glass fixtures in various settings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Install and replace glass in windows, doors, and other structures according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project requirements and specifications.
- Fabricate glass pieces as needed for specific projects.
- Perform fixture installations, ensuring proper alignment and secure fitting.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure timely project completion.
- Handle heavy lifting of glass panels and other materials while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on installed fixtures to ensure longevity and functionality.
Experience
- Proven experience in glass installation or related maintenance person work is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety regulations.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
