Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate Teacher Assistant to support classrooms across our infant, toddler, and preschool programs. This role assists lead teachers with daily routines, classroom activities, and supervision while helping maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, and passionate about early childhood education and supporting children at all developmental stages.
- Support lead teachers across multiple classrooms (infants, toddlers, and preschool) as needed
- Assist with age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Help maintain positive classroom behavior and daily routines
- Provide attentive care, supervision, and support during transitions, meals, rest time, and play
- Assist children with diverse needs, including those receiving early intervention or special services
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff and families when appropriate
- Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early learning setting preferred
- Basic understanding of child development and classroom routines
- Experience supporting children with special needs is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible, dependable, and willing to work across age groups
- CPR/First Aid and early childhood certifications are a plus
Pay
- Compensation starts at $16.50 per hour and increases based on experience and availability. We’re happy to discuss details during the interview.
