This Media Archives Technician position will assist the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Labor History Archivist to rehouse and photograph over 3,000 film and video items.
Responsibilities:
- Transfer audiovisual materials from legacy storage containers into archival housing. Ensuring all containers are appropriately labeled and barcoded.
- Create baseline metadata about carrier types and conditions.
- Generate container-level records and item-level records within the archival content management system.
- Capture high-quality reference photographs of audiovisual carriers using a copystand and camera; manage and organize resulting digital files according to project specifications.
