What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Faculty Member position at The George Washington University School of Business?
The George Washington University School of Business Department of Strategic Management & Public Policy is seeking temporary part-time faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year to teach courses in the areas of strategic management (topics include strategy formulation and implementation; strategy, careers and impact; strategy concepts; advanced strategic management; strategy and AI; corporate sustainability strategy; strategic environmental management; and strategic networking, among others) and business ethics (topics include international business ethics; corporate governance and ethics; and ethics of AI in business, among others). Most courses are taught in-person. Occasionally, an online section is available.
Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. in strategy, organization theory, economic sociology, business ethics or a closely related field, and evidence of teaching effectiveness.
Compensation is governed by the George Washington University Collective Bargaining Agreement with the part-time faculty elected union, Service Employees International Union, Local 500, CTW. The position does not provide health benefits. Successful completion of a background screening is required as a condition of hire.
