Summary
To provide technical oversight to Molecular laboratory section. Works with Molecular Laboratory Chief to establish technicalstandards and ensure continuous quality of services.

Education/Qualification
MT(ASCP) or equivalent plus four years of medical technologist experience, to include related experience with molecularlaboratory techniques including DNA and RNA extraction, amplifi cation by PCR (polymerase chain reaction) gelelectrophoresis preparation and hybridization will be essential. Knowledge of DNA sequencing, expertise with developmentand validation of laboratory assays and FISH (Fluorescence in-situ hybridization) analyses are desired.
A Bachelor s degree in biological science plus five years of related experience with molecular laboratory techniques includingDNA and RNA extraction, amplifi cation by PCR (polymerase chain reaction) gel electrophoresis preparation andhybridization will be essential. Knowledge of DNA sequencing, expertise with development and validation of laboratoryassays and FISH (Fluorescence in-situ hybridization) analyses are desired.
3 years of professional experience that demonstrates a progressive leadership background.
