Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Transportation Officer to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for securely transporting detainees between destinations and ensuring that the vehicles used for transportation activities are safe and properly maintained.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and possess a high level of physical fitness. Additionally, they must be able to pass a company and Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol test.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a valid Class B or Class C Chauffeur's Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement at time of hire. You must also have 80 hours of verified and certified driver's training from an approved company trainer and as defined by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Furthermore, you should have completed an approved training program resulting in a certification of satisfactory completion in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military. You must also have a current driver's license with no preventable accidents, suspensions for driving convictions, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), or Driving Under the Influence (DUI) or more than two moving violations on any type of vehicle for the past three years.
