Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- The Tax Intern prepares, updates, and maintains certain workpapers and documentation supporting various functions within the tax department.
- Assists with certain tax research assignments.
- Assists with other administrative functions within the tax department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in college with a major in Tax, Accounting, Business Administration or Finance field and have completed at least thirty (30) semester credit hours.
- Microsoft office software experience is required.
- Prior tax or accounting experience and data management software is preferred.
- Above average written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively comprehend assignments and complete within prescribed parameters and timing.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Clear and effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside the department.
- Ability to make sound decisions and exercise judgment.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
