Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of barbering and hairstyling services including haircuts, fades, shaves with straight razors, hair coloring, extensions, and hair threading.
- Deliver personalized consultations to understand client preferences and recommend suitable styles or treatments.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in accordance with industry regulations.
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their desired looks and aftercare instructions.
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items, styling tools, and nail or eyelash extension services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing expertise in hair styling, coloring techniques, and salon operations to foster a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience working in the beauty industry.
- Proficiency in salon software like MINDBODY for appointment management and client communication.
- Skilled in various hair care techniques including coloring, extensions, makeup application, nail care, and eyelash extensions.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and store management practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with clients and understand their needs effectively.
- Experience with retail sales, upselling strategies, retail math, and front desk responsibilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with color theory, hair styling trends, and advanced grooming techniques such as straight razor shaves is highly desirable.
