About the Role:
The General Municipal Authority of Bear Creek Township, PA is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Grounds Crew member to help keep our community looking its best. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manicure municipal grounds, parks, and public spaces throughout Bear Creek Township
- Mow, edge, trim, and blow grass and landscaped areas on a regular schedule
- Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, and flower beds
- Remove debris, litter, and waste from public grounds and facilities
- Operate and perform basic maintenance on grounds equipment including mowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Assist with leaf cleanup, and storm debris clearing
- Support setup and breakdown of municipal events and facilities as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance preferred
- Ability to operate commercial lawn and grounds equipment safely
- Physical ability to perform outdoor labor in varying weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality of work
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and assist where needed
