Performs content edits, technical edits, and proofreading on digital and print projects.
Performs layout and formatting tasks to incorporate edits and prepare materials for production.
Revises and updates published materials as needed.
Verifies scriptures and sources and ensuring accuracy of quotes.
Works with Lead Editors to ensure doctrinal integrity and age-level relevance of all materials.
Conforms all materials to the AG Editorial Services Style Manual and Chicago Manual of Style.
Qualifications:
High School diploma required.
College degree preferred (English, Journalism, Bible, Theology or Christian Education).
Knowledge of the Bible and the Assemblies of God doctrine required.
PC Skills (Microsoft Suite, InDesign).
Minimum two years experience in editing.
Must be competent in English and a skilled researcher.
Candidates will be asked to provide samples of work.
In addition to normal testing, candidates will be asked to take a special editing test.
