Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative located in Charleston, SC. This Individual will:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial clients (dentists, law firms, and related professionals).
- Build and maintain strong relationships by providing prompt, professional, and knowledgeable support.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding coverage, billing, certificates of insurance, endorsements, and policy details.
- Coordinate renewals and proactively reach out to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Educate clients on available coverages, exclusions, and policy changes to ensure proper protection.
Policy Administration & Documentation
- Prepare and issue certificates of insurance and evidence of property coverage, accurately and timely.
- Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and audits.
- Maintain organized, detailed records in compliance with agency procedures and carrier requirements.
Renewals & Marketing Support
- Gather renewal information from clients and work with producers to market and remarket accounts.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling or upgrading coverage (e.g., adding Employment Practices Liability, Cyber, or Professional Liability).
Claims Assistance
- Guide clients through the claims reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate submission to carriers.
- Act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers during claims handling and follow-up.
- Maintain awareness of claim status and communicate updates to clients and producers.

- Understand key coverage lines relevant to professional clients such as:
- Professional Liability (Malpractice, E&O)
- Business Owners Policies (BOP)
