Job Overview
At The Gelatist, we specialize in crafting artisanal gelato made fresh in-house, and we’re looking for a passionate Ice Cream Scooper to join our team! If you love ice cream, pastries, and creating a memorable customer experience, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
As an Ice Cream Scooper, you’ll play a key role in serving our delicious gelato and creating an enjoyable atmosphere for our customers. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, fun environment and help us bring a fresh, exciting concept to Greenville.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Serve gelato and other frozen treats to customers with a smile.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for every guest.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Handle cash and register transactions accurately.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for gelato, pastries, and providing top-notch customer service.
- Please restock pastries as soon as they run out. Do not wait until someone asks.
- Replace empty trays immediately once a tray is finished so the display always looks full and fresh.
- Be proactive while working behind the counter. Stay busy by restocking, cleaning, organizing, and preparing for the next task instead of waiting for instructions.
Qualifications:
- A love for ice cream and desserts, and a passion for sharing that love with customers.
- Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive, energetic atmosphere.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Previous experience in food service or customer-facing roles is a plus, but not required.
- Applicants should have prior experience in both scooping and barista roles.
- Must be able to restock the pastries as well.
- Must be able to replace the ice cream tray and place new trays.
- Must be active and fast learner
