Position Overview
The Project Coordinator is a clinically grounded operational leader responsible for the coordination, compliance, and performance of grant-funded Behavioral Health programs, including Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) serving individuals with Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and co-occurring conditions.
This role requires an active Nevada clinical license and hands-on experience in SUD treatment environments. The Project Coordinator ensures that clinical services, grant requirements, and data reporting are aligned, accurate, and sustainable. The position bridges clinical practice and systems management, supporting staff, safeguarding funding, and strengthening program quality without removing clinical judgment from operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Oversight & Reporting
- Coordinate operational compliance for grant-funded programs, ensuring all services align with approved scopes of work, deliverables, and reporting timelines.
- Oversee grant data reporting, including SPARS reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation to support monitoring visits, desk reviews, and funder inquiries.
- Identify risks to grant compliance early and collaborate with leadership on corrective actions and process improvements.
Clinical Program Coordination
- Support the daily functioning of SUD and IOP services with attention to clinical appropriateness, workflow alignment, and service fidelity.
- Apply working knowledge of ASAM Criteria and LOCUS to support appropriate level-of-care alignment, clinical documentation, and program structure.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure staffing models, group schedules, and service delivery align with both clinical standards and grant requirements.
- Monitor consistency between clinical practice, documentation, and reported program outputs.
Data Accuracy & Performance Monitoring
- Oversee the integrity of clinical and grant-related data across reporting systems.
- Conduct regular data reviews to identify discrepancies, trends, or performance concerns.
- Translate data findings into clear, actionable recommendations to improve program outcomes and sustainability.
- Ensure documentation and reporting reflect services delivered and meet funder expectations.
Staff Support & Accountability
- Serve as a central coordination point for clinical, administrative, and leadership teams related to grant-funded and IOP operations.
- Reinforce expectations for documentation quality, timeliness, and compliance with SOPs.
- Support onboarding and ongoing role clarity for staff working within grant-funded programs.
- Address operational barriers collaboratively, maintaining professionalism, clarity, and accountability.
Quality Improvement & Sustainability
- Identify operational gaps or inefficiencies that impact care quality or funding stability.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts focused on SUD and IOP service delivery.
- Support program development efforts that strengthen long-term sustainability without compromising clinical integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with SPARS reporting and other federal or state grant reporting systems.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and documentation requirements for SUD services.
- Ability to balance clinical insight with operational and compliance responsibilities.
- Experience supporting audits, monitoring reviews, or funder site visits.

Physical Requirements

Education/Licensure Requirements
Active, unrestricted Nevada license as one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Demonstrated experience working in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment settings.
- Prior involvement in grant-funded behavioral health programs, including reporting responsibilities.
- Direct experience with Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) operations.
- Working knowledge of ASAM Criteria and LOCUS for level-of-care determination and clinical alignment.
Starting pay: $92,000 annually
