Job Purpose:

The duty of the group laborer is to maintain his/her morning sections, leaf pick-up, trash pick-up and weeding. Alert the landscape director of any irrigation breaks and to support all other duties throughout the property.

Job Duties:

• Adheres to the Gasparilla Inn’s 4 Steps to Memorable Service.
• Exhibits the Gasparilla Inn Core Values.
• Excellent communication skills, knowledge of safety with the use of the power tools, attention to details in morning sections, ability to develop strong relationships with lead and director, ability to exert physical effort throughout the day and the ability to endure abundant physical movement throughout the day.
• Equipment used: Clippers, rakes, shovels, brooms, push mowers, ride on mower, golf carts, sting, trimmer, edger, chainsaw, pole saw, hand saw, sod cutter, turf vacuum, spray rug
• To follow all safety guidelines for all forms of power tools.
• All other duties as assigned

Working Conditions and Assignments:

This position is almost equal in office setting and in various settings on the property. The position requires long periods of standing as well as bending, twisting, kneeling pushing, pulling, and a moderate degree of physical exertion while transporting equipment or guest items of which will be approximately 50 lbs.

This position will need to be able to safely drive a golf cart and may have little exposure to outside weather conditions throughout the day. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job..
