Shifts Available: Full time 9:30am – 3:30pm/ 8am-4:30pm (Rotating Weekends Required)
The Activities Coordinator will plan and coordinate programs and activities to provide life-enriching events for residents and the community. A qualified candidate will be excited about strengthening the dynamics of Westview Meadows and The Gary Residence by planning, promoting, and conducting activities.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement activities in the following categories: physical (exercise), social, recreational, intellectual/educational, creative, entertainment, religious, service/volunteer and special requests of the residents.
- Facilitate socialization among residents.
- Invite and/or remind residents to participate in planned activities.
- Promote activities in a way that piques residents’ interest.
- Conduct/lead activities.
- Develop a monthly newsletter.
- Develop a monthly activity calendar.
- Take residents out of the facility for scheduled outings.
- Carry out all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Experience in activity planning and working with older adults is preferred.
- Evidence of creativity.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Mature, pleasant, friendly & cheerful personality.
- Clean driving record.
- A willingness to work as a team player is essential for this role.
- Proficient with using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Must pass appropriate background checks and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Pay: $18.00– $21.00 per hour
