Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile Line Cook who brings both technical skill and creative energy to our kitchen. This role balances the high-octane atmosphere of our Sunday Pizza Nights with the meticulous organization required for our Pre-Order Picnic Program. We are looking for a professional who treats portable picnics with the same culinary respect as a fresh-from-the-oven artisanal pie.
Responsibilities
Sunday Pizza Nights
- Dough Management: Handle long-fermentation doughs with care, including stretching and shaping to maintain crust integrity.
- Station Mastery: Manage high-temperature ovens (wood-fired or deck) to ensure consistent bake times and charred finishes.
- Topping Precision: Execute signature pizza recipes while maintaining a clean station during high-volume Sunday surges.
Pre-Order Picnic Program
- Prepare "travel-stable" menu items such as, chilled seasonal salads, and artisan sandwiches designed to be enjoyed outdoors.
- Aesthetic Packaging: Assemble pre-ordered baskets with a focus on presentation and structural integrity, ensuring food remains visually appealing after transport.
- Logistics & Timing: Manage the production schedule for pre-orders to ensure every picnic is packed and chilled exactly in time for guest pickup.
- Food Safety: Maintain strict temperature controls ("Cold Chain" management) for all portable goods.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3 years in a professional kitchen; experience with high-hydration dough or pizza service is a significant plus.
- Knife Skills: Excellent precision for prepping delicate picnic components and garnishes.
- Detail Oriented: An eye for "the little things"—from the perfect pizza crumb to the way a napkin is tucked into a picnic box.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to remain on your feet for long shifts and work comfortably near high-heat ovens.
