Cove Creek Lodge is looking for a Guest Experience Associate to join our team and help create a welcoming, memorable experience for every guest. This is a hands-on hospitality position that combines traditional front desk responsibilities with guest service, property support, and activities.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, organized, and enjoys working directly with people. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a clean, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for guests and is comfortable jumping in wherever needed.

Position Details

Position: Guest Experience Associate (Front Desk)

Pay: $16.00- $18.50

Schedule: Full-time or Part-time

Employment Type: Non-exempt, hourly, at-will

Start Date: October 1, 2026

Location: Cove Creek Lodge, Deep Creek Lake, Maryland

Reports To: General Manager

Schedule: Rotating two-week schedule

Weekends: Required

Overtime: 1.5x regular rate for hours worked over 40 per week

What You'll Do

As a Guest Experience Associate, you will help ensure guests have a smooth and enjoyable stay from arrival through departure. Responsibilities include:

Welcome and check in arriving guests with a warm, personal approach

Provide property tours and explain lodge amenities, room features, and local attractions

Answer reservation questions and assist guests with bookings and check-outs

Respond to guest requests, questions, and concerns professionally

Monitor guest communications by phone, email, and property management software

Deliver towels and other supplies to guest rooms and common areas

Light and manage guest fire pits while following safety procedures

Maintain and reset pool, lobby, and common areas

Stock lobby amenities and guest-facing supply stations

Help set up and run seasonal guest activities such as s'mores nights and lawn games

Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests

Maintain accurate guest records and assist with daily reporting

Support the General Manager and other team members with day-to-day property operations

Perform other duties as needed to provide an excellent guest experience

Previous hotel, hospitality, customer service, or front desk experience is preferred but not required

Physical & Work Requirements

This is an active, hands-on hospitality position. The role may require:

Standing and walking for extended periods

Moving throughout the property regularly

Lifting and carrying supplies such as towels and guest amenities

Assisting with outdoor areas, pool areas, and fire pits

Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
