Qualifications
- Experience or ability in providing direct care, active listening, and empathy when working with individuals with mental health and intellectual disabilities.
- Skills in communication, documentation, and teamwork to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and other staff members.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle daily care schedules and administrative responsibilities.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about mental health conditions, health and safety practices, and adult life skills training.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or training in caregiving, mental health, or social services is a plus.
- Ability to provide physical assistance if needed and adhere to safety protocols.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not mandatory; willingness to participate in ongoing training is required.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are beneficial for this role.
